Eligibility Categories & Criteria

The Golden Residency program offers a pathway to permanent residence in Bahrain for those who meet the eligibility criteria, providing access to a thriving economy and vibrant lifestyle.

Employees Working in Bahrain

An employee who has been working in the Kingdom of Bahrain for at least five years, earning an average of over BHD 2,000 (equivalent to USD 5,306) over the past five years.

Property Owners

Real estate investors who own property valued at BHD 200,000 (equivalent to USD 530,555) and over at the time of purchase.

Retirees

Resident retirees: A retired individual who has worked in the Kingdom of Bahrain for at least fifteen years and who has an average pension of BHD 2,000 (equivalent to USD 5,306) and over during the last five years of residency.

Non-resident retirees: A retired individual who has an average pension of BHD 4,000 (equivalent to USD 10,624) and over.

Talented Individuals

  • Entrepreneurs and investors who have successfully founded, scaled, or invested in businesses that drive economic growth, create jobs, or introduce innovative solutions within their industries.
  • Researchers and scientists who have made significant contributions to their field through groundbreaking research, publications, or innovation

  • Innovators that are pioneers in technology, science, or business who have developed groundbreaking products, services, or methodologies that significantly impact their respective fields.
  • Athletes who have achieved notable success in sports, such as winning championships, setting records, or representing their country in international competitions.
  • Other Exceptional Talent  who have demonstrated extraordinary skills or achievements in areas not covered by the above categories, such as leadership, entrepreneurship, or community service.
